Section Manager - NDT

Our client is a renowned Engine MRO in Malaysia with a production line specializing on the maintenance and overhaul of engine parts. 

They are currently looking for a Section Manager - NDT, whom will be directly responsible to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of engineers.

This position will be based in Malaysia, and relocation will be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of production operations within the section, ensuring efficiency and compliance
• Take full accountability for the section’s operational performance, including process effectiveness, risk management, and internal/external customer satisfaction
• Provide both managerial leadership and technical expertise; actively engage in problem-solving, resource management, and waste reduction
• Apply strong analytical skills to evaluate data, interpret procedures and tests, and develop effective solutions
• Oversee and deliver complex improvement projects that drive operational excellence
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all production-related reports
• Assess employee skills and competencies; develop training plans and career progression strategies to enhance team capability

• Minimum 8 years of working experience in a Maintenance Repair and Overhaul within aviation environment is an added advantage
• Degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Electro-mechanical or Industrial Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in manufacturing planning, safety management, quality assurance, and budgeting, complemented by strong business acumen
• Advanced knowledge of Aviation Regulations, MRO Regulatory requirements, MPM/QAR.
• Good understanding of the airfoil repair process (NDT, Welding, Heat Treatment, Surface Treatment
