A320 Captain – Position Requirements

  • Valid ATPL with a current A320 type rating (A318 / A319 / A320 / A321)
  • Valid ICAO First Class Medical Certificate with no limitations (OML not accepted)
  • No history of alcohol or substance misuse (as confirmed by CAA)
  • Successfully completed a Command Course acceptable to the SCAA
  • Minimum 3,500 total flight hours
  • Minimum 1,500 hours as Commander (left seat only)
  • Cruise Captain time not acceptable
  • PIC time as First Officer not acceptable
  • Flight time must be on aircraft ≥ 60 tons MTOW
  • Must have flown as Commander within the last 12 months, with at least 200 flight hours on commercial air transport aircraft ≥ 60 tons
  • No accident/incident record where the pilot was found at fault
  • English proficiency: ICAO Level 4 or higher (verbal & written)
  • Age limit: up to 60 years

Commuting pilots: Round-trip economy-class tickets per rotation (Home/NOD ↔ Base)

Non-commuting pilots: Two (2) annual round-trip economy-class tickets (Base ↔ Home/NOD)

Annual Leave:

Covered through OFF-rotation for commuting pilots

30 calendar days for residential expat contracts
