A320 Captain – Position Requirements
- Valid ATPL with current A320 type rating (A318/A319/A320/ A321)
- Valid First Class Medical Certificate with no operational limitations
- Minimum 3,500 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,500 hours as Commander (left seat only)
- Successfully completed a Command Course acceptable to the SCAA
- Cruise Captain time not acceptable; PIC time as First Officer not acceptable Flight time must be on aircraft ≥ 60 tons MTOW
- Must have flown as Commander within the last 18 months, with at least 200 flight hours as a Commander
- No accident/incident record where the pilot was found at fault
- English proficiency: ICAO Level 4 or higher (verbal & written)
- No history of alcohol or substance misuse (as confirmed by CAA)
- Age limit: up to 60 years
Roster Options
Commuting roster:
22 days ON/8 days OFF
6 weeks ON/2 weeks OFF
9 weeks ON/3 weeks OFF
Non-commuting option also available
