A320 Captain – Position Requirements
- Valid ATPL with a current A320 type rating (A318 / A319 / A320 / A321)
- Valid ICAO First Class Medical Certificate with no limitations (OML not accepted)
- No history of alcohol or substance misuse (as confirmed by CAA)
- Successfully completed a Command Course acceptable to the SCAA
- Minimum 3,500 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,500 hours as Commander (left seat only)
- Cruise Captain time not acceptable
- PIC time as First Officer not acceptable
- Flight time must be on aircraft ≥ 60 tons MTOW
- Must have flown as Commander within the last 12 months, with at least 200 flight hours on commercial air transport aircraft ≥ 60 tons
- No accident/incident record where the pilot was found at fault
- English proficiency: ICAO Level 4 or higher (verbal & written)
- Age limit: up to 60 years
