Asia Pilot Jobs Market Outlook

Rishworth Aviation partners with a range if airlines Asia Pacific region. The biggest driver of growth in this region will be passenger demand from 2015 to 2035, with more than half of new air traffic coming from here. Asia Pacific growth will be led by China - which will replace the US as the world’s largest aviation market. China will be followed closely by India, Indonesia and Japan. By 2035, it is estimated that an additional 1.8 billion annual passengers will be transported in Asia Pacific, for an overall market size of 3.1 billion. The region is estimated to grow by 4.7% annually.

Along with passenger growth, Pilot job growth will also expand to match demand for increased airline services. Boeing expects the Asia Pacific region to require the addition of at least 260,000 new Pilot jobs by 2037. China is again forecast to lead this growth, requiring half of the anticipated new Pilots, followed by Southeast Asia and South Asia. Our client is a leading LCC with extensive international and domestic operations across multiple bases in Asia.  They are currently looking for an analytical and data-driven individual to take on the role as Manager, Route Revenue – China who will be responsible for optimizing revenue through strategic pricing, inventory control, demand forecasting, and performance analysis, ensuring alignment with market trends and business goals. The ideal candidate must be a critical and analytical thinker with strong decision-making skills that are data-driven and with a willingness to further learn and grow in the field of revenue management. This position will require relocation to be on-site in their HQ and will be on expatriate terms. Job Responsibilities Support revenue strategy development by assisting in pricing, inventory management, and demand forecasting. Monitor market demand, pricing trends, and competitor activity to refine revenue strategies. Analyze sales data and key performance indicators to identify revenue optimization opportunities. Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure cross-functional alignment. Conduct industry research to enhance pricing strategies and competitive positioning. Lead and mentor analysts to drive revenue performance and achieve strategic goals. Deputize for the Route Revenue Head when needed. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. 3-5 years in revenue management, pricing analysis, or related roles (aviation, hospitality, retail, or travel industry experience preferred). Proficiency in Excel, spreadsheets, data analysis tools (Python, Google BigQuery, or similar a plus). Strong ability to interpret data, market trends, and competitive landscapes. Ability to present findings clearly and work cross-functionally. Skilled in managing multiple tasks, learning new tools, and responding to market changes.
