Asia Pilot Jobs Market Outlook

Rishworth Aviation partners with a range if airlines Asia Pacific region. The biggest driver of growth in this region will be passenger demand from 2015 to 2035, with more than half of new air traffic coming from here. Asia Pacific growth will be led by China - which will replace the US as the world’s largest aviation market. China will be followed closely by India, Indonesia and Japan. By 2035, it is estimated that an additional 1.8 billion annual passengers will be transported in Asia Pacific, for an overall market size of 3.1 billion. The region is estimated to grow by 4.7% annually.

Along with passenger growth, Pilot job growth will also expand to match demand for increased airline services. Boeing expects the Asia Pacific region to require the addition of at least 260,000 new Pilot jobs by 2037. China is again forecast to lead this growth, requiring half of the anticipated new Pilots, followed by Southeast Asia and South Asia. Section Manager - Process Engineering

Our client is a renowned Engine MRO in Malaysia with a production line specializing on the maintenance and overhaul of engine parts.  They are currently looking for a Section Manager - Process Engineering, whom will be directly responsible to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of engineers. This position will be based in Malaysia, and relocation will be required. Job Responsibilities Deputise Engineering Manager across any functions as required including the Shop Floor Management (SFM) meetings, Management Meetings, Customer Review, OEM discussion, Request for Quotation (RFQ) review, etc. Lead a team of engineers under his/ her section. This typically includes training to ensure that personnel are updated with latest methods, procedures and requirements; work allocation and problem resolution, as well as participating in decisions for recruitment and performance evaluation. Develop and implement new repair processes as per plan Carry out continuous process improvement to improve quality, yield, cycle time and costs reduction. Verify and accountable for all engineering documentations released to the shop for accurate technical content, standardization of engineering documents and ensures that engineering documents are in accordance to approved technical data Perform First Article Inspections (FAI), as required Provide support to Production in improving effectiveness of production lines with regards to processes Liaise with technical team to develop and modify tools as and when necessary to improve specific process Conduct research on new technologies that will enable the Company to be market leaders in the industry Provide technical guidance to Engineers under his/her care; and/or intra sections Evaluate applicable changes from revised Original Engine Manufacturer (OEM) Manual and to incorporate it into internal organizational work instruction e.g. Process Instructions, Special Instructions, etc, as necessary Develop a professional working relationship with the shareholders and be able to share the knowledge and lesson learned Constant and active discussion with the shareholders to understand the process developments and increase technical knowledge Develop a succession plan and define goals for the team Develop and periodic update of training materials related to engineering processes used in the production floor Knowledge transfer and/or train the production or technical employees on the technical processes used in the production floor based on the approved training syllabus or materials Comply with and support Environmental Health & Safety policies, rules and regulations at all times Perform other tasks as assigned by the superior or any other person designated.
