About Boeing

Boeing has been a premier manufacturer of commercial aircraft for decades. Today, the company produces the B787, B777, B737, B747 and B767 aircraft families. New product development efforts include the B787-10 Dreamliner, the B737 MAX, and the B777X.

Demand in the commercial market is predicted to more than double in the next two decades. To meet this demand, Boeing forecast the number of jet airplanes will nearly double to 48,000, at an average annual growth rate of 3.5 percent. To support this fleet growth, Boeing forecasts a need for more than 42,000 new deliveries, valued at over $6 trillion, for growth and replacement in the next 20 years.

More than 10,000 Boeing-built commercial aircraft are in service worldwide, which is almost half the world fleet, and a further 5,000 Boeing airplanes are on order. Boeing also offers the most complete family of freighters - around 90 percent of the world’s cargo is carried onboard Boeing planes.

The industry-leading technology of the 787 Dreamliner results in excellent fuel efficiency and range flexibility, which enables carriers to profitably open new routes as well as optimise fleet and network performance. With many B787’s already delivered, and a thousands on order, the B787 is an established and fast-growing fleet, likely to be operated by major airlines well into the future.

The Boeing 777's unique combination of superior range, outstanding fuel efficiency and passenger-preferred comfort has created long-range success for carriers around the world. The B777 has received more orders than any other wide-body airliner in history. Over 65 airlines have placed orders for thousands of  aircraft of all variants, with over 1,500 of these delivered and in operation.

The B737 is one of the most popular aircraft operated by airlines all around the world, and is the best selling aircraft of all time. It is estimated that there are an average of 1,250 airborne B737 aircraft at any time, with two either taking off or landing every five seconds. The B737 is versatile and has relatively low maintenance and operating costs.

The Boeing 737 MAX family brings the latest technology to the most popular jet aircraft of all time, the 737. Technological advances plus powerful LEAP-1B engines are helping to redefine the future of efficient and environmentally friendly air travel. There are over 10,000 B737 in operation and over 4,500 B737NG and the new B737MAX on order.

Increasing demand will ensure strong positive growth for Boeing aircraft families, with some exciting career opportunities on offer with Rishworth Aviation and our airline clients.
