Rishworth is currently supporting our client, a leading LCC in Asia with their latest project supporting homecoming talent across several departments.
They are currently looking for a Deferred Defect Engineer who will be responsible for providing technical services support as listed in the responsibilities below.
This is a full-time position based in the headquarters with a lucrative joining bonus and mobility assistance for the incumbent and dependents.
Job Responsibilities
- Reviews all open ADD, CFI and CDL items are complete and ensures all items have an action and implementation plan. All other defects that are time limited will be planned appropriately.
- Ensures all deferred defect items are closed or performed prior to its due date.
- Ensures all parts for MEL items are verified correctly and has been ordered. Close coordination with Technical Purchasing is required.
- Coordinates, liaise and make follow ups with Technical Services and Production Planning on the correct repair schematic if the repair call out is out of SRM and AMM.
- Liaises with Line Maintenance Engineers or Defect Analyst Engineers ensuring that scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is carried out in the timeliest and cost-effective manner, giving early advise whenever delay is to be expected in case rectification of work on cabin items is mandatory.
- Identifies any fleet wide cabin issues and present these to Manager – Deferred Defects for further escalation.
- Tracks and ensures all cabin modifications have been implemented properly by maintenance provider.
- Prepares part consumption report for all deferred defect items including MEL and submit to Manager – Deferred Defects.
- Provide technical responses to queries from other departments.
- To actively participate in the group’s SMS by ensuring that highest reasonable level of safety performance is achieved by complying with all applicable safety and security laws, regulations and standards and by reporting all accidents, incidents and hazards.
- Performs spot check/ surveillance on cabin items, prepares a weekly cabin report.
- Must have a degree in Aeronautical Engineer or associated engineering course.
- Minimum of four years related experience.
- Preferably with ICAO/A&P AMEL.
