Our client, one of the fastest growing airlines in Indonesia, are currently searching for a competent Director of Flight Operations who can strategically work with the CEO and Board to fulfil their expansion plans.
This position is full-time, and relocation will be required. Standard expat terms and benefits will be applicable.
Job Responsibilities
- Sustainable improvements in operational performance through consistent achievement of set targets within agreed budgets and timelines in support of the airlines business model & objectives.
- Actively implement and support the Safety Management System.
- In conjunction with individual business units to develop and drive effective change management strategy to produce necessary company goals.
- Ensure all relevant department heads are fully informed of operational objectives. Responsible for the functioning of the Flight Operations Division including planning, implementation, revision and monitoring of the organizational structure of Flight Operations to ensure safe and effective operations on a daily, tactical and strategic basis Planning and projection of the air crew to conduct line operations efficiently and economically.
- Review and evaluate the operating costs of the department to ensure that cost effectiveness is achieved within the total divisional needs and take corrective action where necessary.
- Make sure that the Flight Operations Division operates efficiently to achieve the commercial plan without compromising safety.
- Liaise with other divisions whenever there is a need, or if it is advisable to do so in relation to operations safety related matters
- Responsible for the development and implementation of flight operations policies, and direct supervision of line operations.
- Ensuring that all Flight Operations are conducted in full compliance with conditions and restrictions of Air Operators Permit, State Regulations, DGCA requirements and company operation standards.
- Determine the standard of line operations in accordance with the DGCA licensing requirements and where necessary beyond that and ensure that those standards are maintained.
- Maintain current knowledge of rules and regulations, policies and procedures for the operation of the aircraft and ensure that they satisfy all regulatory requirements.
- Execution of the overall responsibility over the organization's Operations Manual.
- Production, development and establishment of qualified and professional personnel in the Flight Operations Division.
- Select, develop, motivate and appraise all management personnel to assure that the Flight Operation Division goals and objectives are met.
Job Requirements
- Must possess a comprehensive understanding of applicable aviation regulations, including but not limited to CASR, ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, and other relevant international regulatory frameworks.
- Proven experience as an Instructor on Airbus A321 aircraft.
- Minimum of five years of supervisory or managerial experience (as an operational postholder) that exercises operational control over large aircraft operations.
- Background from a major airline operating a minimum of 50 aircraft.
