Engine Technician (Painting)

Our client is an industry-leading and globally renowned Engine MRO with a facility in Australia specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft engines. 

They are currently looking for an Engine Technician (Painting), who will be part of the team maintaining and servicing their customers engines.

This position will be based in Australia, and relocation will be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare components that require protective coatings by use of blasting machines, de-greasing and masking.
• Application of protective coatings including treatment of bare metal, painting, varnish and Sermetal coatings by spray application.
• Assist with engineering the creation of repair work scopes for specific parts including the sequence of operations and tooling requirements
• Ensure tool control is maintained as per procedures (to include equipment asset inventory)
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all departments at all levels.

• Minimally possess a Trade Certificate or an equivalent to the Australian Cert II Aeroskills.
• At least 5 years of experience in painting, blasting, and spraying.
• Prior experience in machining would be an added advantage.
