GM Commercial

Our client is a leading domestic operator providing both passenger and charter solutions in Papua New Guinea.

They are currently looking for a GM Commercial who will take on the responsibility for the effective management of the Scheduled/Regular Passenger Transport (RPT), Charter and Cargo functions of the airline.

This is a full-time position with accommodation, flights, and transport, provided at base.

Job Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining close relationships with Corporate Clients and Contract Charterers
  • Identifying factors behind failures, determining and implementing action and controlling risk.
  • Putting the safety management plan into effect within the Commercial Division
  • The overall direction of the division and efficient use of resources, including setting KPIs
  • Maintaining an adequate number of staff for the delivery of Charter, Schedule/RPT and Cargo services
  •  

Job Requirements

  • Commercial airline management experience and having worked in the areas of Revenue Management, Pricing Distribution, Network Management, Marketing and Sales.
  • Broad understanding of the global commercial airline landscape and how to benefit from being a part of this network.
  • Ability to negotiate for both passenger and cargo businesses.
