Our client is a leading domestic operator providing both passenger and charter solutions in Papua New Guinea.

They are currently looking for a Manager, Aircraft Maintenance who will be responsible to the General Manager MRO for overseeing maintenance activities, managing a team of maintenance professionals, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.

This is a full-time position with accommodation, flights, and transport, provided at base.

Job Responsibilities

  • Providing recommendations/guidance and expert advice in the specialized field to the GM/MRO
  • Assisting in identifying business risks and opportunities relating to engineering functions, recommending appropriate actions and implementing strategies where applicable.
  • Oversee all maintenance activities for the aircraft fleet, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor maintenance schedules
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of maintenance procedures and practices to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Implementing all procedures, maintenance activity and defect rectifications and ensuring they are carried out in accordance with the standards in the Part 145 Exposition.
  • Collaborate with CAMG, Flight Operations, MRO Stores, MRO Production Planning and other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities.
  • Monitor KPI and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of engineering operations and drive performance improvement.
  • Assisting in reviewing new aircraft specifications and determining induction strategies and facilitating personal requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Valid Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) license or equivalent certification.
