Our client is an industry-leading and globally renowned Engine MRO with a facility in Australia specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft engines.
They are currently looking for a Manager, Customer Services who will be lead a team in establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers. This role will provide a focal point for the liaison between the customer and relevant internal departments whilst assuring the requests of the customer are executed.
The position will be based in Australia, and relocation will be required.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate engine overhaul and repair processes from induction to shipping.
- Ensure timely and professional handling of customer requests.
- Establish engine work scope based on customer requirements and engineering recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Provide accurate and timely information to supporting departments to facilitate engine production.
- Guide Customer Service Representatives in preparing estimates and invoices.
- Liaise with relevant departments to offer technical guidance and assistance to customers.
- Present and prepare internal and external customer reports.
- Review, approve, and ensure accuracy of estimates, invoices, and summary condition reports.
- Maintain target margins and manage sales forecasts.
- Make informed decisions on serviceable vs. non-serviceable parts, understanding engine warranty and commercial support programs.
- Oversee processing of quick-turn service lines, including part assemblies and advanced exchanges.
- Monitor, review, and report business metrics.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of four years’ experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with turboprop/turboshaft engines.
- Strong financial acumen and familiarity with accounting techniques.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to quickly adapt to internal systems and databases.
- Flexible work availability to meet operational demands.
