Our client is a leading LCC with extensive international and domestic operations across multiple bases in Asia.
They are currently looking for an analytical, commercially-minded, and market savvy individual to take on the role as Manager, Network Planning – Indonesia who will lead the design, development and optimization of the airline’s fastest growing the most strategic network to/from Indonesia.
The ideal candidate must possess strong cultural and linguistic fluency in Bahasa and English, with a profound understanding of Indonesia’s aviation landscape, passenger trends, competition, and regulatory environment.
This position will require relocation to be on-site in their HQ and will be on expatriate terms.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for shaping the airline's Indonesian network strategy by identifying new route opportunities, optimizing performance, and ensuring sustainable growth.
- Identify and evaluate new domestic and international route opportunities, developing data-driven business cases and forecasts.
- Monitor route performance, collaborating with Revenue Management, Scheduling, and Operations to enhance profitability and efficiency.
- Analyze domestic traffic trends, tourism developments, competitor strategies, and regulatory updates to support decision-making.
- Represent network planning in internal forums and build strong relationships with airports, regulators, and industry partners.
- Maintain updated network data, support management requests, and ensure effective route planning execution.
- Mentor and lead Network Planning Executives, fostering a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Required to effectively engage with Indonesian stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- Minimum 5 years in airline/aviation industry, with at least 2 years in network planning, revenue management, or commercial roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or related fields; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Indonesia’s aviation regulatory framework, bilateral agreements, slot coordination, and airline economic principles.
- Proficiency in network planning software and airline data tools such as MIDT, OAG, Cirium, Infare, ARMS, and Excel. Knowledge of SQL, Big Query, and Tableau is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and ability to balance big-picture strategy with operational detail.
- Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders, influence senior leaders, and contribute to strategic initiatives.
