Operations Manager

Our client is a turnkey charter solutions company in Australia supporting a wide base of passenger and freight requirements for both private and corporate services.

They are currently looking for an Operations Manager who will work closely with the Senior Management to manage the base in accordance with the business directions and company policies.

This role will be based in Perth and will require relocation.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee operations, ensuring compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Manage flight monitoring, air and ground operations disruptions, and assist with crew rostering.
• Optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining contract compliance.
• Oversee outsourced ground services providers, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements and regulatory standards.
• Respond to audit findings, implement corrective actions, and uphold safety management systems.
• Collaborate with the Accountable Manager on policy, strategy, and operational planning.
• Work closely with the Quality and Safety Department to review and update manuals for accuracy.
• Ensure staff training meets regulatory, emergency response, and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Handle incident reporting, investigation support, and resolution.
• Maintain strong client relationships, conduct site visits, and improve customer communication.
• Lead staff appraisal, development, training programs, and motivation initiatives.
• Maintain business records and prepare operational statements and reports.

• Recognized tertiary qualifications in aviation or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in aviation ground operations.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment.
• Proven leadership skills with strong time management and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate as part of a team and maintain flexibility in work tasks.
