Our client is a leading aviation technical services consultancy with offices in Europe, Middle East, and Asia, providing comprehensive technical solutions to airlines and lessors.
They are currently looking for an Operations Manager (APAC) to oversee the region and to represent the business for its day-to-day operational and commercial activities which include field services, training, and administrative duties.
The position will be based in Singapore and is on a hybrid working arrangement. Some travels will be required to support marketing, trade shows, key customer meetings, and training.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations for field services team.
- Coordinating and optimising resources to meet operational goals.
- Acting as the primary liaison between “the company” and customers in the APAC region.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
- To coordinate between the field services team and customers and plan the schedules.
- Create training plans for newly recruited staff.
- Coordinate with other company managers to ensure projects are running efficiently.
- Representing “the company” in the external events, meetings, exhibitions, and social events.
- Act as a liaison to the Maintenance Manager for all Asia Pacific based Part 145 staff.
- Identify areas of improvement and establish systems to streamline product output.
- Identify on-site and document generation related errors/incidents to enable procedures to be put in place to prevent re-occurrences.
- Enhancements to the Report Templates, systems, operational and communication flows.
- Liaison with customers on engineering queries.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Engineering, or relevant fields, or an engineering license.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing aviation operations. Field services operations experience is advantageous.
- Certifications in project management, supply chain management, or other relevant areas are advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate teams.
- Excellent communication skills for both internal coordination and external interactions.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
- Proficiency in identifying issues and creating effective solutions.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
