Our client is a renowned operator specializing in private jet charter and aircraft jet management globally, with bases across the United States from the West Coast to the East Coast.
They are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Inspector that will be responsible for conducting maintenance and release for the organization's fleet of aircraft.
This position requires to be based in Miami, and mobility support can be considered for suitable candidates that need to relocate.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of fleet aircraft by managing tracking systems and ensuring the completion of both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
- Conduct Return-to-Service (RTS) procedures after aircraft maintenance and issue Airworthiness Releases.
- Serve as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Oversee the company’s tool calibration program.
- Provide required departmental reports to the Director of Maintenance (DOM) or designated personnel.
- Perform quality control and assurance on various aircraft maintenance activities, including overhaul, modification, repair, and maintenance of aircraft structures, engines, and accessories, in addition to managing maintenance policies, training, and logistical systems.
- Deliver training on aircraft maintenance policies, Required Inspections (RII), company procedures, and best practices to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with applicable CFRs and company directives.
- Lead the implementation of CASS audits and assist with conducting monthly meetings.
- Facilitate clear communication between the maintenance department and external maintenance providers.
- Manage relationships and oversee work with Outsource Maintenance Providers. Ensure all mechanic work aligns with company policies, General Maintenance Manual, Manufacturer’s Maintenance Manuals, and current CFRs.
- Confirm that all RII maintenance tasks on the organization's aircraft are performed according to FAA regulations and organizational standards.
- Submit Service Difficulty Reports and Mechanical Interruption Summary Reports as required by FAR 135.
- Provide after-hours Maintenance Control responsibilities, including filling in for vacation or sick leave.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Minimum of 3 years of Part 135 Aircraft Maintenance experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and complete tasks within deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with Bombardier, Embraer, Gulfstream, Beechcraft/Hawker, and/or Textron aircraft is highly preferred.
- Ability to travel to support fleet needs.
- Flexible scheduling and availability for after-hours and on-call support.
- Must work well as part of a team and maintain positive relationships with others.
- Demonstrate reliability, dependability, and loyalty.
