Senior Engineering Manager

Our client is a renowned Engine MRO in Malaysia with a production line specializing on the maintenance and overhaul of engine parts. 

They are currently looking for a Senior Engineering Manager, whom will be directly responsible to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for all aspects of engineering & technical support across product, process, and project engineering.

This position will be based in Malaysia, and relocation will be required. Visas will be provided for the right candidates.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage, guide, and coach direct reports.
  • Ensure that all engineering staff possess the necessary skills. are given appropriate training, are up to date on the latest methods, and that procedures and requirements are of sufficient numbers to accomplish their work effectively.
  • Strategically manage the Engineering Department with long term development plans for the team and department as a whole.
  • Drive technological development of the company as well as engineering processes continuous improvements.
  • Consult and liaise with authorities, OEMs, and shareholders, representing as the focal point and subject matter expert for all technical questions.
  • Monitor the development of approved repair capabilities; provide guidelines and support to the project engineers and act as an escalation point in case of delays or setbacks in the approval process.
  • Ensure that all technical information, instructions, and clarifications are authorised, controlled, and provided to personnel in a manner that meets company and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Engineering guidelines for the individual repair programs within the maintenance program.
  • Ensure that all technical work is undertaken to the correct standards and specifications in the most economical and efficient manner.
  • Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive actions resulting from quality non-compliance monitoring and audit program. 


Job Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, preferably in Aerospace/Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience, preferably as an Engineering Manager.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
  • Good computer skills especially in MS Office i.e Powerpoint, Word, and Excel.
