Our client is a leading domestic operator providing both passenger and charter solutions in Papua New Guinea.
They are currently looking for Workshop Manager who will be responsible for acknowledging safety as a fundamental principle in all decision-making within his area of responsibility, fostering a culture of safety within his area of responsibility, and setting an example of personal dedication to the company's safety policy.
This is a full-time position with 4 flight tickets provided back home yearly - accommodation, transport, meals, provided at base.
Job Responsibilities

Foster a positive safety culture and demonstrate commitment to company safety policies, ensuring safety is a core value in all decisions

Direct and coordinate daily workshop activities, ensuring staff are present, working efficiently, and meeting maintenance schedules for mobile and fixed equipment

Prepare workshop operations budgets, control maintenance costs, and ensure spending stays within budget while handling job quotes and costings

Supervise the training of apprentices and post-trade personnel, ensuring qualifications and competency for assigned tasks

Ensure maintenance tasks are performed according to manuals, policies, and procedures, including proper documentation for modifications and repairs

Liaise with the Engineering Manager for equipment replacement plans, report on maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in tech records or maintenance planning with 3 years supervisory experience

IAS training and experience are required.

Familiarity with CAR Parts 91, 43, 119, 121, and 125
- High level of computer literacy
