Canada immigration process
Pilot documents sent to Airline for review
The airline invites chosen candidates to an interview and a screening, if needed.
Once the airline has determined the pilot is acceptable, the airline will give a conditional job offer.
The pilot will work with Rishworth and HLG to obtain a work permit. This process takes approximately 6 to 10 months, depending on the country of origination,
Once the work permit is obtained, the airline will apply for a Foreign License Validation Certificate on behalf of the pilot. The cost is $45 and takes 20 days to process.
The pilot then applies for a Canadian Commercial pilot’s license and complete the examination and practical Flight test.
After the pilot has worked for one year in Canada, they can apply for Permanent Residency under the Canadian Experience Class or Federal Skilled Worker Program.
