First Officers Babic and Radulovic are on assignment with Air Peace on the Embraer E195-E2. They share their experience with the airline, the new fleet, and working in Nigeria.

  • Tell us a little about yourself & flying career & position at FJA?

Bula everyone, I am Willy RICHERD coming from TAHITI - French Polynesia and currently flying for the national airline of the Fiji Islands FIJI AIRWAYS as a First Officer on Airbus A330 and A350. I have been in aviation for the past 10 years flying in USA , Africa, Asia, Europe and the Pacific.

  • Why is FJA a good opportunity for you as a A330/A350 FO ? How is it working for FJA?

I have been flying on the A330/350 fleet for 5 years now and loving the long haul operations. With Fiji Airways network I am lucky enough to fly both medium (Australia and New Zealand) and long haul (Asia SIN HKG and NRT and the West coast of America LAX SFO and YVR). This network gives me the opportunity to see different type of weather, different regulations and all this with minimum time difference (jet lag).

  • How is it working for FJA?

At Fiji Airways we have the chance to have great Management along with a very good training team to maintain a high standard which drives or guides us to keep good safety record. Fiji Airways has invested into training by having its own training facility including A330 and B737 Max Full Flight Simulator and is about to receive its A350 and ATR FFS.

  • How have you found your experience with Rishworth?

Thanks to Rishworth, I am currently Flying for FIJI AIRWAYS, which have always been available and socially responsive with regards to any of my concerns or requests between the company and myself.

  • What is the best parts about the airline/working from Fiji?

There are many great things about the airline. A few of which are, the network, the modern fleet, the fact that the country itself is pretty much laid back and relaxed, weather is favorable most the of year. Fiji airways allows us to fly with people of different ethnicity and background & allows us to learn off each other and also, it is very close to my home Tahiti
